Long ago, the continent was separated by two kingdoms, North Alaglaiseia (current lands of Doven) and South Alaglaiseia (current lands of Norseslaw and the Principality of Aquintus, along with the allied land of Wrarglin). Doven was the capital of the North, while Nordvik was the capital of the South.
The large castle of Aquintus was owned by one of the most powerful lords in Alaglaiseia at the time, Lord Aquintus the VI. It was originally built in the first North-South Alaglaiseia war of dominance and was a great strategic position in the second war against Doven. After the second war, Lord Aquintus the VI was beheaded for treason against the land of Norselaw, as he had secretly aided Doven during the war.
This led the Principality of Aquintus to side with Doven, but as Lord Aquintus the VI had no child to bear the throne to, one was appointed by Aquintus' Council, Prince Andréi Laynesmit.
As it stands currently, Doven (currently ruled by King Charmont O'Connor and his daughter Princess Lillian O'Connor) and the Principality of Aquintus (currently ruled by Prince Andréi Laynesmith) are in an alliance.
On the other side, the Norseslaws (currently ruled by King Hjolthir) and Wrarglins (currently ruled by King Harald Kirimjar) are allies as well.
While neither side is at war, they are very hostile to each other, and will most likely kill each other on sight.
