Annabelle sat at a small table just inside the kitchen doors. She looked about the room, the room she had worked in almost her entire life. It's long dark walls which gave her shivers, seemed so dull to her. The smell of freshly baked onions filled her lungs as she took a deep breath, almost forcing herself not to cry from the scent. This truly has to be the life... She thought to herself giving a soft sigh. Looking up she saw someone looking down at her. Quickly Annabelle stood up and curtsied, not looking the person in the eyes.

"Hello Annabelle", the stranger's unfamiliar voice rings through her head.
"You do not know me, but I am from a land far away. I mean no harm to you, and by no means am I a beggar, but I currently do not have the means to feed myself. If you wish to shoo me away, I understand and will leave at once. But if you would allow me to join you for a quick meal, I would be forever indebted to you."

Annabelle looked at the man for a short moment, not wanting to be to rude or to bold in her actions. She was unsure of who this man could be.
"What is it you seek?" She asked the young man as she continued to keep her eyes lowered so that he knew she was of a much lower ranking.

"First off, I seek some food. I haven't been able to find anything but a few berries ever since I landed here," I said, as my stomach growled and indicated I wasn't fibbing.
"Beyond that, I could really use a friend. You see, I sit at my hut alone every day, just watching the sunrise, and the sunset, without so much as a peep for social entertainment. It would be really nice to have someone to talk with."

Annabelle nodded as she then turned to prepare him a small dish of stew as well as some bread ad cheese.
